SemiFlex by NinjaTek
SemiFlex performs well as a tough, flexible filament with an exciting combination of pull strength, shock absorption, and print resolution. SemiFlex is a semi-hard flexible filament that comes in several different colors that have a slight sheen after after being 3D printed. Like NinjaFlex, SemiFlex is a premium and high quality filament material capable of opening the door to a wide range of new applications for your LulzBot desktop 3D printer.Product Alert (3)
- Separate accessory recommended:
Successful 3D prints with flexible filament start with tool head that features a completely constrained filament path. LulzBot Mini 2 users are ready to 3D print with flexible filament.
LulzBot Mini 1, LulzBot TAZ 6, and 5 3D Printer users should upgrade to:
- LulzBot SE Tool Head | 0.5 mm nozzle
- LulzBot SL Tool Head | 0.25 mm nozzle
- LulzBot HS Tool Head | 0.8 mm nozzle
- LulzBot HS+ Tool Head | 1.2 mm nozzle
- LulzBot TAZ Dual Extruder v3
- LulzBot TAZ Aerostruder v1
- LulzBot Mini Aerostruder v1
- Print Surface Recommendation:
SemiFlex adheres exceedingly well to our PEI print surface. We strongly recommend applying PVA glue (white school glue) directly on the print surface using a glue stick (such as Elmer's® brand) before printing to ensure easy part removal.

Since SemiFlex is harder than other flexible filaments, complex parts like device cases with overhangs, holes, and details are easier to print while still maintaining its flexible nature. SemiFlex also has applications in robotics due to its ability to function as a tread or grip. SemiFlex is more flexible than standard filaments, so the Flexystruder Tool Head is required when printing with it. SemiFlex prints cleanly and more quickly than other flexible filaments, like NinjaFlex. Advanced users can utilize its ability to bind to ABS when using a FlexyDually Tool Head to make prosthetics, live hinges, wearables, and other projects requiring flexible, complex 3D printed items.
