The LulzBot™ TAZ does not ship with filament, so make sure to order some with your purchase. We recommend HIPS! More advanced materials include heavy duty options like nylon, T-Glase, and polycarbonate, or artistic varieties of wood- and stone-like materials. With so many options available, the choice is yours!


The LulzBot™ Hexagon Hot End heats up to 300°C (572°F) and the bed heats up to 120°C (248°F), meaning your printer can heat up to temperatures required for industrial-grade materials. The PEI print surface allows easy, low maintenance 3D printing so you don't have to worry about using tape, adhesives, or solvents to help objects stick to the print bed.

With the LulzBot™ TAZ 5, it is possible to upgrade to a dual extruder to print two different colors, or two different materials. Separate purchase of a Dual Extruder or FlexyDually Tool Head is required. These are advanced tool heads recommended for experienced users.
