Cura LulzBot Edition Installation: Windows

Download the Cura Installer

Download Cura LulzBot Edition for Windows by clicking on the link and saving it to your Desktop, or by right clicking on the link and selecting Save As

 

 

 

 

Launch Cura Installer

Once saved, launch the installer by double clicking on the downloaded Cura installer file on your Desktop. You also may be able to open the file from the download section of your browser.

Once the installation wizard is open, click Next to continue.

 

Select Cura Components

Make sure that the following items are selected:

  • Install Arduino Drivers

  • Open STL files with Cura

  • Uninstall other Cura versions

You can select the other files types as well if you will be using them.

Click on Install to continue through the installation process. Click Next or Yes if prompted.

 

Cura Driver Installation Wizard

The Installation Wizard will also prompt you to install the driver used to communicate with the LulzBot 3D printer. Click Install or Next to allow the driver installation process to finish.

 

Allow The Installation

Click Install to authorize the driver installation. If prompted to enter your computer login credentials do so to continue. If you are unable to continue, your local IT security policy or user account credentials may not allow you to install the driver. Check with your local administrator to continue.

Removal Instructions

Windows 7

Open the Programs and Features window by clicking the Start button, then clicking Control Panel.

The Control Panel is typically displayed in one of two different ways: Category View or Icon View.

In Category View, click on the ‘Uninstall a program’ link under Programs.

In Icon View, click the Programs and Features icon

This will display a list of all programs installed on your computer. The list will generally take a few moments to populate. Once it has finished loading, scroll through the list until you see the Cura entry.

Click on the Cura entry to select it, then click the Uninstall button on the toolbar above the list of programs.

Follow the prompts on the window that appears to complete the Uninstall process for Cura.

Windows 10

Click on the Start menu and find the Cura software. Once you have located Cura, right click on it and click Uninstall from the dropdown menu.

This will display a list of all programs installed on your computer. The list will generally take a few moments to populate. Once it has finished loading, scroll through the list until you see the Cura entry.

Click on the Cura entry to select it, then click the Uninstall button on the toolbar above the list of programs.

Follow the prompts on the window that appears to complete the Uninstall process for Cura.

Alternately, if you can’t find Cura in the Start menu, click on Settings in the Start menu instead. Then click on System, then Apps & features.

Use the search box at the top of the screen to search for Cura. Once Cura is found, click on it then click Uninstall and follow the prompts to remove Cura.
