LulzBot Parent Company Ranks 122 on Inc. 500 List

Aleph Objects named Fastest-Growing Privately Held Computer Hardware Company in the U.S.

As the 3D printing industry continues to mature with a flight to quality, the company's high-quality LulzBot 3D printers that respect user freedom are winning with users. According to an internal survey of the company's customers, over 98 percent report they would recommend LulzBot products.

LOVELAND, COLORADO, USA – Aleph Objects, Inc. ranked No. 122 on Inc. Magazine's 35th annual Inc. 500, the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. Aleph Objects achieved 2,782 percent three-year sales growth of the company's award-winning LulzBot line of desktop 3D printers, parts, and plastics, leading all computer hardware companies.

The company's performance as the fastest-growing privately held computer hardware company in the United States is continuing with strong performance in 2016. Earlier this month the company announced:

  • For the second quarter of 2016, the company reported revenue of US$5.8 million, recording four consecutive profitable quarters
  • Second quarter 2016 represents an 83 percent improvement in year-over-year revenue versus second quarter 2015
  • Year-to-date 2016, the company reported profitable performance on revenue of US$10.5 million

“We are honored to be named among the fastest-growing private companies in the United States and the fastest computer hardware company,” Aleph Objects, Inc. President and CEO Jeff Moe said. “Our company's success shows the power of Free Software, Libre Innovation, and Open Source Hardware, and we look forward to continuing this growth in the years to come.”

The 2016 Inc. 500, unveiled online at Inc.com and with the top 500 companies featured in the September issue of Inc. (available on newsstands Aug. 23), is the most competitive crop in the list’s history. The average company on the list achieved three-year growth of 433 percent, putting Aleph Objects' performance in even more impressive context. Complete results of the Inc. 500, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.

'The Inc. 5000 list stands out where it really counts,” says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “It honors real achievement by a founder or a team of them. No one makes the Inc. 5000 without building something great – usually from scratch. That’s one of the hardest things to do in business, as every company founder knows. But without it, free enterprise fails.”
