Meet the BQ Ciclop 3D Scanner

We are excited to announce that we now carry the BQ Ciclop 3D scanner kit! We searched for years for an Open Source Hardware 3D scanner that operates with Free Software, and we found it. The BQ Ciclop kit is a great complement to LulzBot 3D printers, it is a cutting-edge, developer-friendly scanner for expert users.

Users of the BQ Ciclop will be able to participate in the global development of 3D scanning with Open Source Hardware and Free Software, as well as contribute to Libre Innovation for all. Once assembled, the BQ Ciclop has a laser scanning area of 250 mm in diameter and 205 mm in height, and the scanning platform can precisely rotate an object up to 3 kilograms or 6.6 pounds in weight. The BQ Ciclop is also equipped with two scanning lasers that can capture fine surface details with a 3D scanning precision of 0.5 mm (500 microns).

We recommend the BQ Ciclop for expert users only, as the Ciclop is a kit that must be assembled and the scan files require post-processing. To learn more about this amazing Open Source Hardware 3D scanner, visit our store!600 g reel
