The LulzBot Mini 2 Desktop 3D Printer is now in production and will be available for purchase and begin shipping to users on June 20th! All LulzBot 3D Printers are designed and built in Loveland, Colorado, USA by a dedicated team of manufacturing professionals. We are chomping at the bit to get the latest upgrade to our compact workhorse in your workspace. In the meantime, let's talk about those upgrades:
The Mini 2 features an innovative belt driven Z-axis, improving print quality and decreasing cycle times. Manufacturing Engineering Technician Michael Rosenhagen cited the increase in speed as one of his favorite aspects of the Mini 2, adding, “It’s a lot quieter, which is nice, and it has a bigger build volume.” The LulzBot Mini 2 features Einsy Retro electronics with Trinamic TMC2130 stepper drivers for whisper-quiet operation, and a build volume increase of approximately 20% over the previous model with no increase in footprint.
Also included as standard equipment are three accessories previously offered as add-ons to the original LulzBot Mini: A tool head powered by a genuine E3D Titan Aero extruder/hot end, the LulzBot Modular Print Bed System with heated reversible borosilicate glass/PEI surface, and a Graphical LCD Controller for tetherless operation. From the belt-driven Z-axis to the genuine E3D Titan Aero extruder and hot end, the LulzBot Mini 2 is designed and built to produce premium results.
LulzBot 3D Printers are relied on by Fortune 500 companies, all branches of the US military, small businesses, Ivy League universities, K-12 schools, libraries, and more. With these numerous updates and upgrades, the LulzBot Mini 2 is a fantastic choice for professionals and educators looking for a portable powerhouse for the office, shop, and classroom.
