My TAZ 3 arrived in early January 2014 and I was able to print quality objects right out of the box, which was the main reason I chose Lulzbot in the first place. The 30-day warranty was a big influence as well as the compliments about the quality of support even after the warranty period. Also the Libre / Open Hardware mentality was not a deciding factor when purchasing, but I realize now how much this means and how lucky I got by choosing Lulzbot. As an example, I am printing off parts as I type for the dual-extruder as I type which they post STL files and gcode online as part of the Libre / Open Hardware mentality. The build volume was also important, it was one of the largest for the $$ at the time of purchase. Also the list of material types that can be printed is longer that most.
The process of selecting the 'right' printer took a decent amount of effor and time, but I am pleased with deciding on the TAZ from Lulzbot.
