On October 19, 2022 the Grand Farm Innovation Facility broke ground in Casselton, ND with the help of LulzBot 3D printers. Over 300 visitors arrived at the 140 acre plot for the event, each receiving their very own 3D printed memento. Grand Farm will help agriculture technology businesses and researchers innovate and develop the farm of the future. Autonomous machinery, drones, and perhaps even 3D printers will help to advance this vision for agriculture.

The event was commemorated with miniature 3D printed groundbreaking shovels, made with MatterHackers Quantum Silver-Gold PLA, on LulzBot 3D printers. Attendees had a chance to watch shovels being made by local middle school students live at the event on LulzBot Mini 2 machines and learn about 3D printing.
